John Aaron Gass, a 35-year-old high school history teacher at District of Columbia International School, has been charged with production of child pornography and enticement of a minor. The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro after an arrest made by FBI agents at Gass’s Maryland residence.

According to charging documents, Gass is accused of sexually abusing a minor beginning in the spring of 2025 and recording the abuse. The documents allege that he entered the child’s bedroom through her window on several occasions to commit the acts. On November 21, 2025, the FBI received information from the Metropolitan Police Department indicating that Gass met with a minor multiple times for sexual abuse and used the victim’s phone to record explicit videos involving himself and the child.

The investigation is being led by the FBI Washington Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. This task force includes federal agents and detectives from northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., who focus on investigating cases related to child exploitation and human trafficking.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachel Bohlen is prosecuting the case for the District of Columbia.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro stated: “This case was brought as part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative. In February 2006, the Attorney General created Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. Led by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as identify and rescue victims.” Additional information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.projectsafechildhood.gov.

Authorities have asked anyone with further information regarding this case to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI.
