Robert Jameson, a 60-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., has been sentenced to seven years in prison for the armed robbery of O’Connor’s Liquors on Minnesota Avenue Southeast. The sentencing took place in D.C. Superior Court, with Judge Robert Salerno presiding. After serving his prison term, Jameson will be subject to five years of supervised release.

Jameson pleaded guilty on March 26, 2025, to one count of armed robbery. According to government evidence presented in court, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on February 16, 2025. Jameson entered the liquor store and threatened the manager with a firearm before stealing a box of Fireball shots and several lottery tickets. He attempted but failed to take the cash register before fleeing on foot.

Later that evening, police officers found Jameson still wearing clothing matching images from the store’s surveillance cameras. A search at his residence led to the recovery of dozens of Fireball shots and an imitation firearm.

Jameson was arrested on February 16 and has remained in custody since then.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro announced the sentence along with Chief Pamela A. Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department. In their statement they said: “In announcing the sentence, U.S. Attorney Pirro and Chief Smith commended the work of those who investigated the case from the Metropolitan Police Department. They also acknowledged the work of Assistant U.S. Attorney Jacob Green, who prosecuted the case.”
