Two foreign nationals have been sentenced to six months in federal prison for returning to the United States after being deported, according to First Assistant United States Attorney Charles Neil Floyd. Alberto Figeroa-Luque, 45, a citizen of Mexico, and Fredy Ottoniel Alonzo Carcamo, 54, from Guatemala, were both taken into federal custody following their arrests on state charges. Judge Tana Lin noted that both individuals had entered the U.S. multiple times without authorization.

“Those here illegally who are breaking our laws and making our communities unsafe remain a priority for our office,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Floyd. “While many we arrest are removed before we secure convictions, here are two examples of criminal aliens arrested based on the administration’s priorities. One of these defendants was arrested illegally carrying a firearm and possessing narcotics, the other is a sex offender who failed to register and was caught peeping into a neighbor’s window. Both had been previously deported but returned and broke the law again.”

Court records show that Figeroa-Luque was first ordered removed from the U.S. in 2012 and has since been deported four more times. He came under federal investigation after Marysville Police arrested him for using a controlled substance in public. A search found cocaine, fentanyl, and a semi-automatic handgun with a loaded magazine in his backpack. He was transferred to federal custody by judicial warrant and pleaded guilty in December 2025 to reentry of a removed alien.

Records also indicate that Alonzo Carcamo was convicted of attempted voyeurism in King County Superior Court in February 2007 and ordered deported later that year; however, he was not removed at that time. In February 2020 he was convicted again for first-degree voyeurism after being caught looking through a window at a woman and child early in the morning. He was removed to Guatemala in July 2021 but re-entered unlawfully through Arizona two months later; he was then removed again in February 2022. In November 2025 Alonzo Carcamo was arrested in King County for failing to register as a sex offender and transferred to federal custody by judicial warrant before pleading guilty later that year.

Homeland Security Investigations conducted both investigations.

Special Assistant United States Attorneys Jordan Steveson and Christine Caceres prosecuted these cases.
