On February 2, 2026, Chief Judge Estudillo signed an order that establishes a new schedule for forfeitable bail and mandatory appearances related to misdemeanors and infractions. The order outlines which offenses will require individuals to appear in court and which may be resolved by forfeiting bail. The updated schedule is attached to the official order.

Chief Judge Estudillo stated, “Please see the Order Adopting Schedule of Forfeitable Bail and Mandatory Appearances for Misdemeanors and Infractions, signed by Chief Judge Estudillo on February 2, 2026. The schedule is attached to the Order.”

The order aims to clarify procedures for handling minor offenses within the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
