Naseer Green, a 19-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was sentenced to 71 months in federal prison for possessing narcotics with intent to distribute and for carrying a fully loaded Glock handgun modified to function as a machine gun. The sentencing took place in U.S. District Court, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.

Green had pleaded guilty on September 4, 2025, to two charges: possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and oxycodone, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. In addition to the prison term, Judge Timothy J. Kelly ordered Green to serve three years of supervised release.

ATF Special Agent in Charge Anthony Spotswood from the Washington Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and Chief Pamela A. Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) joined in announcing the sentence.

Court documents show that on March 16, 2025, at about 2 a.m., MPD officers patrolling Logan Circle approached a sedan parked illegally near a fire hydrant. Four men were inside the vehicle; officers noticed a handgun between one rear passenger’s legs.

After backup arrived, police searched all occupants and found firearms on three individuals. Green was carrying a Glock Model 19 9mm pistol tucked into his waistband; it had an extended magazine capable of holding 24 rounds and was fully loaded. The pistol also had been altered with a conversion device known as a “switch,” enabling it to fire automatically as a machine gun. Officers recovered approximately 24 white tablets in a pill bottle, 134 blue pills in another bag, four grams of white powdery substance in clear baggies, and $357 cash from Green. Tests later confirmed that the pills contained fentanyl and oxycodone. The firearm was reported stolen from Maryland.

Two co-defendants—Wesley Hilliard and Sequan Collier—are awaiting trial.

The case was investigated by both MPD and ATF and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kate M. Naseef and Matthew W. Kinskey.
